Craft & outage staffing
Field-based winders, generator specialists and supervisors, mobilized to a plant outage, a field job or a motor shop that is under water. Our people have worked across OEM variants rather than one badge, which matters the first morning when the machine in front of them is not the one they were expecting.
Tell us the classifications and headcount you are short and the dates. If we cannot cover it we will say so on the call rather than three weeks out.

Electrical testing & troubleshooting on generators
Test it before you close it up, and test it after you turn it over. We take the readings, we write them down, and we tell you plainly what they mean — including when the answer is that the machine is fine.
Troubleshooting is the other half: a unit that trips, grounds, or reads wrong and nobody can say why. That is a job for someone who has opened a few, not for another opinion over the phone.
Typical test scope
- Insulation resistance and polarization index on stator and rotor windings
- DC step-voltage and hi-pot testing, with the readings recorded as they are taken
- Winding resistance and phase balance
- Surge and impulse comparison for shorted turns
- Core testing — loop (ring) test and electromagnetic core imperfection detection
- Rotor testing: pole drop, RSO and flux probe for shorted turns
- Wedge tightness survey and mapping, end-winding condition assessment
- Fault chasing on grounds, opens and shorted turns — before you strip anything out
Thermography
Electrical failures announce themselves as heat long before they announce themselves as an outage. An infrared survey under load finds the loose lug, the failing breaker and the unbalanced phase while they are still a work order and not an incident.
Surveys are done with the gear energised and loaded — a cold panel tells you nothing. You get images, measured temperature rise and a ranked list, so a maintenance planner can act on it without needing to interpret it.

- Switchgear, MCCs, breakers, bus duct and disconnects under load
- Generator terminals, connection rings, collector rings and brush gear
- Transformers, cable terminations and lugged connections
- Motors, couplings and bearings for the hot ones you have not caught yet
- Baseline surveys so next year’s numbers mean something
- A written report: images, measured temperature rise, and what to fix first
