Classifications
What we take names for
Supervisoroutage-lead
Runs the crew on your floor. Takes the scope from your outage manager, sets the sequence, keeps the paperwork straight and hands back a unit that is ready to test.
Generator specialiststator & rotor
The person you want stood in front of an open machine when something does not look right. Stator and rotor work, end windings, connection rings, collector and brush gear.
A winderlead craft
Full stator and rotor rewinds, coil manufacture and fitting, form-wound coil installation, brazing and connection work, insulation systems. Leads a bay or a face.
B winderskilled craft
Coil pulling and installation, splicing, wedging and re-wedging, taping and consolidation, end-winding blocking and tying. Works to an A winder or a supervisor.
C windersupport craft
Strip-out, cleaning, slot preparation, blocking, laced ties, material handling and the hundred things a rewind needs done properly if the schedule is going to hold.
Test technicians and thermographers too. If you do the readings rather than the winding, say so on the form and we will keep you in the right pile.
